About Artwork: (ca. 1890–1900) "Alexander Stewart Wetherill (1885–1914) was the son of Kate Annette (Smith) and Joseph Bloomfield Wetherill, rector of St. Ambrose Chapel and assistant at Trinity Church, New York. Mrs. Wetherill's sister was married to the architect, Stanford White.
